Olivia has been singing for over 20 years and practicing yoga for over 10, it’s a wonder she didn’t think of combining the two until now. For Olivia, yoga has always been an outlet for performance anxiety, stress and muscle tension. As her students can attest she begins every and every voice lesson (and practice) with a round of stretching. It wasn’t until she went to a conference with the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) that she discovered the joys of doing yoga WHILE singing. She was inspired at the conference when the founder of YogaVoice, Mark Moliterno presented a workshop on the benefits of practicing yoga while singing.
Olivia and Jasmine have teamed up to create a program all their own, featuring yoga postures to get you breathing and vocalizations to get your voices singing. Our course is for anyone interested in releasing their voice. You do not need to be a singer or a regular yoga practitioner to benefit. And don’t worry, no one is going to ask you to sing a solo!
