Family Fun Sing – 6 months to 4 years
Wednesdays, 3:30 to 4:00 p.m.
Each family will receive their own songbook of old and new favourites. Songs are fun and interactive and a great repertoire to have when you find yourself on a long road trip (so many parents have told me!) Stretches are designed with little ones in mind giving you and your child a chance to shake your sillies out. Classes always end with story time.
Semi-private lessons for 5 to 7 year olds
Wednesdays, 4:00 to 4:30 p.m.
This mini-session is for a maximum number of 4 students. These young voices will get to experience the more grown-up side of lessons with stretches, vocal warm-ups and songs picked just for them.
A Course of Shakespeare and Song for 7 to 17 year olds
Thursdays, 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
This is a performance class for kids and teens interested in drama and music. This session’s play will be “Twelfth Nigth” adapted for young actors by Lois Burdett. The class will include stretches, vocal warm-ups, drama lessons and 3 production nights. The production will be held during class time for the last three sessions of class at various locations (more on that later!) Each child be assigned a role or roles to learn and will receive their own copy of “Twelfth Night.”
Harmony Fridays for Adults
Fridays, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
As much a class for the ear as the voice, adults singers will be working on harmony skills through vocal warm-ups, rounds, part song and harmony pieces. No experience is required, just an open mind! Our last few classes will be held at different locations to give students the opportunity to share their songs with others.
